OntoLing Tab Installation Instructions
For OntoLing 3.0beta (Protege 3.x)
note on the installation path: current version of OntoLing has problems when there are spaces in the Protege path. This problem will be solved in the next release
Installation for the OntoLing Full Pack Distribution:
- Copy the entire folder it.uniroma2.info.ai-nlp.ontoling inside the
plugins directory of Protege. Everything should be already configured
and ready to be run. Just
follow the User Manual to learn how to use OntoLing
- note for UNIX users: the embedded WordNet 2.0 is the Windows
version. Anyway, if you still prefer to have evertything already
configured, download this version of OntoLing, then download WordNet for
UNIX (up to 2.0) and put its content in place of the old one in
<ProtegeRootDirectory>/plugins/it.uniroma2.info.ai-nlp.ontoling/WordnetInterface/Wordnet_2.0
directory
Installation for the OntoLing Normal Distribution:
- Copy the entire folder it.uniroma2.info.ai-nlp.ontoling inside the
plugins directory of Protege
- Like the Full Pack, even the normal release contains all the needed libraries and
available linguistic interfaces, it just lacks of the physical
linguistic resources. So you just need to download the
linguistic resource(s) you need and configure the LinguisticWatermark
to load it. This operation can be done manually by editing the properties/LWConfig.xml
file, located in the OntoLing plugin directory, or through the LW
Configurator, which can be run through the Ontoling menu
(appearing in Protege after OntoLing is activated).
